Dry shaver with oscillating cutter under arched foil - uses snap-on foil mounting frame including leaf springs which allow foil to move with cutter

The dry shaver uses an oscillating cutter beneath an arched foil (4), the cutter being mounted on a coil girdled by a coil spring. The opposed longitudinal edges or springings of the foil are mounted on a frame (3) which clips (25) into a cutting head (2), the frame inc. an elastic suspension system which allows foil movements in the direction of spring induced cutter movements. The foil edges may be stiffened by metal strip(15) with holes (12) for a push fit connection onto studs (13) on the upper frame zones. The studs may be provided on a beam (9) which spans blade spring supports (10); the beam, the springs and the frame base (11) being in one piece. The springs (10) may have a flat X profile, and vertical foil movements may be limited by hooked (18) strip (15) integral tongues (11) engaging horizontally elongated windows (19) in the frame base (11).
