PURPOSE:To prevent the image projection having unevenness at the non-scanning by providing a device of shielding the light projected at the non-scanning between photoreceptor and original platen and so constituting the device that the photoreceptor is blank-exposed by using the light of the existing light source while said device is operating. CONSTITUTION:A light source 8 for original radiation continues to light until copying is finished. Now, when an original platen 1 shifts to a non-image formation process, a light shield plate 9 is moved to the position of cutting off the projected light by optical systems 3, 4, by which the formation of the flow images on a photoreceptor 5 is prevented. On the other hand, a light transmitting window 37a is installed to the reflecting plate 37 of the original lighting light source 8. A gate plate 11 is disposed in the position of closing said window in the forward stroke of the original platen 1 but it goes out from the closing position of the light transmitting window 37a at the same instant when the light shield plate 9 operates. The light from said light transmitting window 37a is reflected by a reflecting mirror 38, passes through the window 20b provided to the case of a secondary charger 20, and is radiated to the photoreceptor imaging part 5A, whereby blank exposure is accomplished. In this way, the image projection having unevenness at the non- scanning caused through continuous lighting may be surely prevented. |
