Coating consists of a layer of cold-workable adhesive-coating compsn. contg. embedded therein a relatively thin strip of an elastic material able to retain water in the fluid form. Material is bonded to >=1 side of the adhesive coating compsn. Strip is permeable to water vapour from the inside and is used to insulate outside walls or wet areas against water. It can be applied to e.g. roogs, as a seamless coating.
