摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the superconducting coil having both excellent workability in the manufacture of the coil and high cooling efficiency by a method wherein cavities, which become the flow passage of a refrigerant, are provided in the center part of the stabilizing material of the superconducting wire which constitutes a superconducting coil. CONSTITUTION:Cavities 12, which become the flow passage of a refrigerant, are provided on the overall length in the center part of the stabilizing material of the superconducting coil 11 constituted by the superconducting wire 11a composed of a stabilizing material and a superconducting strand. For example, the cavities 12 are formed in advance throughout the whole length in the center part having no superconducting strand of the stabilizing material of the superconducting wire 11a constituted by burying the superconducting wire in the stabilizing material, and under the above-mentioned state, the superconducting wire 11a is wound around, and the superconducting coil 11 is formed. The superconducting coil 11 constituted as above is maintained at the critical temperature or below by cooling the superconducting coil 11 by flowing the refrigerant such as liquid helium into the cavities 12 provided on the stabilizing material from the end part of the coil 11.
