Pigment dispersions in polymeric plasticiser and polyethylene glycol - for general use, esp. with plastics

Pigment is dispersed in a mixt. of polymeric plasticiser and polyethylne glycol. The plasticiser is a polyester with mol. wt. 1000-2000, e.g. derived from butane diol 1, 4 or pentacrythritol reacted with adipic or phthalic acid. The dispersion pref. also contains polystyrene or HDPE low pressure polyethylene. Used esp. for colouring or spin-dyeing of plastics and fibres. Suitable for use in any medium, giving good dispersion and coloristic properties. Deposits in or blockages of spinning nozzles are prevented.
