The present invention relates to a method and a device for manufacturing a body of a mouldable plastic composition, the hardening or gelatinisation of which takes place at heat, comprising introduction of the plastic composition into a mould provided with a forming space arranged for receiving the plastic composition, subjecting the plastic composition to a high-frequency electrical field via a number of electrodes and a high- frequency generator. The mould is adapted to be heat insulating for the introduced plastic composition and electrically insulating for the electrodes.
