The panel comprises a thin sheet (P) as the core, both sides being coated with a ceramic layer, the other sheet having a thin sheet of ureaformol bonded to it. This panel is mounted in a frame (C), the latter being made from aluminium or other metal. It has a li (6) which provides a horizontal bearing surface (7) for the panel and a recessed slot (9) for inserting a strip (J) weding the panel in place. This strip wedge has a ribbed surface to provide grip.
