The heat recuperation system for an oil or gas fired water boiler uses a horizontal tube (2) connected between the flue gas outlet of the boiler and a vertical chimney. The tube houses a coil (1) connected between the cold water inlet and hot water outlet connections to the boiler. At the inlet end of the coil is a control valve, and at the outlet is a pump (6) both operated in accordance with the operation of the burner. The tube is larger in diameter over the coil region than the flue gas outlet of the boiler so as not to restrict the flue gas flow. The coil is supported by two longitudinal rails (10), and is of copper. Its inside diameter is 26 mm and its length is at least 10 m when unwound.
|
