<p>The head for removing screw caps from bottles in a crate with a rotary drive at the top incorporating drive gears has a spring loaded plunger which is forced down against the bottle cap as in 2726474. This is housed inside a sleeve (7) with gripping jaws (18) projecting from the bottom, for the bottle cap. Around the outside is a skirt for the bottle neck. These jaws are formed by slots around an inner sleeve which can swing apart against spring force. The outer sleeve also has slits (33) parallel with the axis and incorporates grooves (35) for ring shaped spring (36) around the bottom.</p> |
