Hand held spray head for shower bath - has resilient spray disc clamped inside, forced into curved shape by water pressure

The hand held spray head (2) for a shower bath is mounted on an arm (1) and holes a cup shaped holder (4) for the spray disc (13). This disc is of resilient material and has a flange (6) around the edge which is clamped into a groove around the interior by a sleeve (28) inside the head. The spray disc is normally flat, but is bent into a curved shape with a convex outside face by the water pressure. The holder has a set of curved radial arms supporting the disc. The spray holes are countersunk on the inside, and has radial ribs, with the holes in a pattern between them. The centre of the holder and disc is formed by a region without holes.
