<p>A caravan conversion for a car has the van section on a separate axle straddling the vehicle and with part of the van over the roof of the car and the rest behind the car. The van is coupled to the vehicle by swivel joints and elastic bolts. The van can be dropped and supported on extending struts, so that the car can be used independently. The bottom frame of the van has struts on each side of the car, to achieve a secure hold. The combination can travel at high speeds with good steering control.</p> |
