Profiled concrete block prodn. process - involves pressing punches into mould bed of sand or slate fragments

The process produces a block of concrete etc. with a profiled surface, i.e. for ue instead of reconstructed stone. A mould base is formed of sand, slate fragments etc., and into this punches are pressed. Concrete or other hardening material is then poured into the mould thus formed, and then hardened. The base can be solidified by pressing the punches home, and the concrete or other material can be left to set in the mould. A layer of sand can be applied to the block surface, being bonded by the concrete or other material used.
