Thermoplastic film with radiation-modifying particles

The thermoplastic film contains undissolved particles which transform incident, invisible electromagnetic radiation into visible light. The film contains the radiation-modifying particles in such a small amount that, during the irradiation, the luminous effect produced by an individual particle can be perceived separately from the luminous effects of other particles of the same kind by the naked eye on a non-luminous or differently-luminous substrate. The plastic film is suitable for producing documents such as identification cards and payment means, such as cheque cards and credit cards.
