<p>PURPOSE:To produce a decorative laminated sheet having a sharp embossed figure and a natural shade, by laminating together a thermoplastic film laid on a base material having a concave and convex portions on a surface thereof by heating them to higher than a softening temperature of the film. CONSTITUTION:A film 3 with a thickness of 5-80mu made of a thermoplastic resin is adhered to a base material 2 having a concave and convex portions on a surface, the film and the base material being laminated together by heating them to higher than a softening temperature of the film 3. A woody material such as a plywood having concave and convex portions being based on vessels is used as the base material 2. A decorative effect is obtained resulting from the adoption of a transparent film or resulting from printing of the grain of wood on both surface. In decorative laminated sheet so produced, natural vessels of a plywood used as the base material 2 appear on a surface as a result of the film 3 encroaching upon the concave and convex pattern based on the vessels, irrespective of that on embossing process takes place. This causes the plywood vessels to match the grain of wood printed on the film 3, and thereby an appearance becomes rich in a natural beauty. An adhesive property is also improved due to encroaching of the film 3 upon the concave and convex portions 1.</p> |
