<p>A heating mat, esp. for use to de-ice the windscreen of motor vehicles in winter, consists of a heating wire which is embedded in zigzag pattern in a glass fibre mat. The mat is enclosed between two plastic foils which are sealed at the circumference and have quilted seams to separate the eating wires from each other. The heating mat can be carried in the car rolled up and is quickly unrolled and attached to the windscreen when needed. Its plug can be inserted in the cigarette lighter socket of the car.</p> |
