Automatic loading system for large calibre gun - uses ammunition in containers fed by moving arm scissors mechanism and rammer

The automatic loading assembly is for a gun (2) mounted on a mobile base (1). An ammunition magazine (8) is fixed to the base near the gun in the correct axis for loading by a normal rammer, with the gun fixed. The application is for a large calibre, breach loading gun. The magazine is below the gun and automation is given by an arm (17) rotating on a pivot parallel to the base. The ammunication is housed inside containers whose axes are perpendicular to the plane of the movement of the gun. Movement of the containers is brought about by a scissors mechanism (19) and a container grip.
