PURPOSE:To reduce the load upon bearings for a spindle, by mounting the bearings in the fitting positions of multi-groove pulleys. CONSTITUTION:Two multi-groove pulleys for regulating a wire, with which a workpiece comes into contact, are mounted on a spindle. Bearings 36a, 36b are provided in the mounting positions of the multi-groove pulleys. The outer races of the bearings can be rotated. The load upon the bearings is reduced by winding the wire. Pneumatic V-rings 31, 32 and an oil seal 34 are provided in combination with each other at an opening of a machine base 20 to prevent a polishing liquid from entering into the bearings 36a, 36b because of their mounting positions. An O-ring 39 is fitted in the axial direction at a closed part. |
