PURPOSE:To produce a hollow case at a high productivity by welding right and left half members of a hollow case divided by half through energization of a heating material charged into a circular groove provided on one of end faces of the members facing each other while a coupling circular projection is provided on the other thereof. CONSTITUTION:A circular groove 7 formed surrounded by a short cylinder 8 and a long cylinder 9 is provided on one of the end faces 6 and 6' of half members 5 and 5' having an expanded large diameter section 2 and a reduced diameter section 3 successively arranged. A short concave section 8' and a long concave section 9' are provided in a ring to form a projected circular cylinder 10. With a heating material 11 fitted into the circular groove 7, the right and left members are put together and welded together through melting at the central fitted section by energizing the heating material 11. If the ends 12 and 12' of the heating material 11 cut off bound together, the remaining heating material 11 serves as a reinforced core for the expanded large diameter sections 2 and 2' of the case. |
