A flexible pipe section is provided with ends having coupling flanges. The wall of the pipe section lying between the flanges comprises a number of metal annular members spaced. from one another and extending substantially between the inner and outer surfaces of said pipe wall. Adjacent members are connected with one another by elastic material. The pipe section is useful for dredging purposes and offers a high resistance to wear and damage caused by penetration of sharp objects.
