摘要 <p>Synchronous sections and phase shifted sections arise within the stator field. The latter give rise to rotating magnetic fields which pass through the rotor (15) made of thin copper sheet. They induce currents in an axial direction to produce the turning force. The pole pitch of the synchronous section is adapted to the pole pitch of the asynchronous portion (a and b). The synchronous section of the magnetic flux passes in a radial direction through the iron disk (14) which is part of the rotor structure and back over the iron sleeve (17) of the rotor carrier (13) to the main iron base ring (9) of the stator structure with its coil (6). The two pole disks (10 and 11) are sufficiently far apart from the phase shifting shading disks so as not to expose them to each other's cancelling magnetic fields. The rotor carrier (13) is freely movable on the motor axle (5) and by a spring moved towards the driving axle end. In this position the starting momentum is improved and subsequently the magnetic forces draw the rotor deeper into the motor thereby improving the synchronous action.</p>
