The ores rae esp complex, fine disseminated cassiterites which are crushed to a fineness suitable for flotation and are then subjected to a chemical treatment prior to flotation. Up to 500 g/m3, esp 50-300 g/m3 of a cpd (I) forming an organic complex is added to the flotation liq. Cpd (I) is pref ethylene-diamine-tetra-acetic acid (EDTA). High tin yields are obtd.
