PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide superconducting material or oxide dielectric material having excellent electrical properties, by heating a raw material containing barium hydroxide in a specific manner, thereby producing a composite oxide compound by sintering process. CONSTITUTION:The objective composite oxide compound can be produced by a sintering process using barium hydroxide as a barium source and heating the raw material containing barium hydroxide at >=500 deg.C at a heating rate of >=50 deg.C/min. Since barium hydroxide is used as the Ba source in the above process, there is no problem of residual carbon which is inevitable in the process using BaCO3 as a raw material. A composite oxide compound containing barium oxide can be produced while effectively preventing the mutual fusion of the compounded raw materials in the use of barium hydroxide and, consequently, a Y-Ba-Cu-O oxide superconducting material or Ti-Ba oxide dielectric material, etc., having excellent electrical properties can be prepared. |
