<p>Photo-crosslinkable polymers comprise a hydrocarbon polymer chain with side gps. comprising aromatic heterocyclic tert. amines of the pyridine or quinoline type, the N atom of the amine being quaternised by a Br or I atom and carrying an ester of a cinnamic acid. Polymers are used for the prodn. of negative photo-resists. They require no photosensitiser and, when crosslinked, they preserve their affinity for dyes, esp. acid dyes. Applications include electronic microcircuits, offset printing plates, dye fixation on a support (textile or paper), protective coating etc.</p> |
