The device is for retaining transverse stress members, in prestressed concrete construction, with adjustment for height. Use is made of two or more uprights (10), with a horizontal hole (12) passing through each. A bar (14) is insertable in the holes, as mounting for the transverse stress members. Uprights can be in the form of flat iron pieces with supports protruding on both sides across the line of the inserted bar. This system enables transverse stressing members to be quickly and easily assembled on site, at exactly the correct level.
