<p>The ingots are knocked out of their moulds so they fall onto the lower end of a conveyor belt which slopes upwards. At the upper end of the belt, a pusher drives the ingots one at a time onto an inclined, stationary plate. At the lower end of the plate is a horizontal pivot shaft carrying a frame, which has two side plates each fitted with a row of clamps. When a desired number of ingots has been transferred to the plate, they are clamped in the frame, which is then turned upside down on the pivot shaft by a work cylinder. The clamps are then released leaving the ingots on a hoist table, which is gradually lowered as the height of the stack of ingots increases.</p> |
