Radioactive material transfer lock - with inclined rotatable cylinder attached to gauntlet box

A lock to transfer radioactive material from a berrel with a double lid into a gauntlet box for further processing consists of a cylindrical housing which terminates in the box and can be revolved around an axis at an angle to the box. The barrel is coupled to the housing which is then turned 180 degrees for the discharge. Such barrels can be emptied completely and automatically without any need for other tools and with complete safety against any radioactive contamination of the environment.
