Holder for miniature lamp or LED - has electrical spring contact and location for lamp envelope

The complete holder consists of a base and a hollow housing for holding the lamp and enclosing the electrical connections. The base has openings through which the electrical connections are inserted and held. Between connections, and integral with the base, is a column which divides to form two pressure springs. These have projections which bear against the connectors. The connecting wires from the lamp are inserted between springs and connectors. The lamp envelope is then pushed into the housing until locked in posn. by spring sections. At the same time the base clips into the bottom of the housing. The holder is easy to assemble. It provides precise location for the lamp and adequate contact for the lamp leads. There are no forces on the leads other than compression at the contact.
