<p>Cyclododecane derivs. of formula (I) are new. (where R1 is Me, Et, n-Pr, vinyl or allyl; R2 is OH or OCOMe; and R3 is H; or R1+R2 can be =CHCH2OH or =CHCH2OCOH; or R2+R3 can be a C-C bond). Cpds. (I) are perfumes with various (generally floral and/or wood) aroma notes; they can be used in cosmetics, detergents, paints, etc. (I; R2 = OH) can be prepd. by reacting cyclododecanone (II) with R1MgX (where X is Cl, Br or I) and can be converted to (I; R2 = OCOMe) by reaction with acetic anhydride.</p> |
