NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I or its acid addition salt (R1-5 are H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, nitro, or halogen; X is ethylene, propylene or ethenylene; when X is ethenylene, at least one of R1-5 is not H). EXAMPLE:1-(2,3,4-Trimethoxybenzyl)-4-(4-phenylpropyl)piperazine. USE:Low-toxic drug having coronary vessel blood flow increasing and calcium antagonistic activity. Stronger activity than trimethazidine. PROCESS:Trimethazidine is condensed with a carboxylic acid II or its halogenide to afford a compound III, which is reduced or condensed to obtain the compound I. As an alternative method, trimethazidine is condensed with an alcohol IV or its halogenide to obtain the compound I. |
