PURPOSE:To achieve simplification and cost reduction by using the control electrode comprising having openings delineated to recording character shapes for every recording character and disposing multiple ion current pass holes capable of permitting pass or block controlling of ion currents on the respective opening surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A stainless wire gauze 17 of, e.g., 150 mesh is provided to the substrate 16 constituted by insulation-type material having the openings (character patterns) delineated to recording character shapes and the pores of the wire gauze 17 are made ion current pass pores. The wire gauze 17 is so arranged to be applied with voltage for ion current pass and block controlling. The character pattern part 21 out of the ion current control electrode is constituted by a flexible belt 23. The ion current pass hole portions 30 are insulated 31 individually and are block- disposed. Voltage is applied through a control unit 35 in such a manner that ion currents flow to the pre-assigned characters in the positions controlled by the electrode 32 and auxiliary electrode 33, whereby the electrostatic recorder of low cost is provided with the simple constitution. |
