Casting children's multi-ply ski - using liquid plastics for top and bottom ply and e.g. reinforced polyurethane foam for core, followed by hardening

Mfr. of a ski, esp for use by children, comprises using curable and foamable plastics e.g. polyurethane, for forming the core of the ski. First a casting mould is charged with liq. plastics that will constitute the sliding surface of the ski; then a fibrous reinforcement is applied; and then the foamable plastics is poured into the mould between a top layer and the reinforced sliding-surface material. Finally the charge is cured in single operational step.
