The lorry for transporting and unloading a prefabricated concrete garage is a multi-axle vehicle using supports at sides and rear to support the chassis during unloading. The chassis carries a hollow square-section telescopic frame which carries the garage rearwards to lower it to the ground. This arm is connected to the chassis at a point behind the driving cab by a universal joint permitting horizontal and vertical swing. Lifting is assisted by a hoist mechanism located between and above the two rear axles. This has a vertical lifting cylinder each side of the frame, with a member between having a vertical pivot at the centre permitting sideways swing. Between this hoist mechanism and the front joint are horizontal actuator cylinders. The telescopic frame carries a swinging carrier to act against the inside of the roof.
