The individual elements of the multi-layer composite panel have a mechanically load-bearing layer (8) of rigid material in which adjacent individual elements adjoin one another by tongue-and-groove joints (3 and 4). Arranged behind the mechanically load-bearing layer in the direction of the loading forces is a heat-insulating layer (5) of lower modulus of elasticity than the load-bearing layer (8). In the area (13) of the joint seams (2) between the individual elements, supporting strips (12) are arranged in grooves (11) which are provided in the heat-insulating layer (5). The supporting strips (12) overlap the tongue-and-groove joints (3 and 4). The loads on the tongue-and-groove joints (3 and 4) caused by the forces acting on the mechanically load-bearing layer (8) can thereby be reduced.
