The collapsible container comprises a baseplate, two opposite stabilisation walls, and two opposite guide walls, together with a closing frame having the frame bars for the walls, the latter hinging on the bars. The guide walls are coupled to the baseplate and fold inwards after the stabilisation walls have been swung into the frame. The guide walls (3) each comprise two half-sections (3a, 3b) in a common plane when erected, and joined together by hinges (7) parallel to the bar hinges (6), so as to fold inwards in a concertina pattern. The lower half-sections are also attached by hinges (8) to the edges (9) of the baseplate (1).
