The ski support is intended especially for cars and is composed of two supports (1) which can be mounted on the vehicle roof transversely to the direction of travel and on which a plurality of U-shaped mounts (2) for skis are clamped. These mounts (2) can be mounted easily and without tools independently of the cross section of the support (1), without the manufacturing outlay being too large. The mounts (2) are composed of two identical halves (4a, 4b) which accommodate the support (1) between them and can be locked to one another.
