PURPOSE:To cover long bodies with a resin sheet at high productivity by covering the both faces of long bodies with resin sheets and pressing the upper sheet against the lower sheet with a fusion jig having a recess groove wider than the long body to fuse the sheets together. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower resin sheets 3 and 4 are fed through rotary rollers 5 and 6, the lower sheet 4 is fed onto an earth plate 7, and long bodies 1 are fed onto the sheet 4. The upper sheet 3 is fed onto the long bodies 1, and over the sheet 3 is arranged an electrode 11 (fusion jig) having a recess groove 8 wider than the long body 8, with the lower ends of both side pieces 9 and 10 sharpened. With the electrode 11 lowered to press the sheet 3, the sheet 4 is pressed by the lower ends of the pieces 9 and 10, and the electrode 11 is impressed with HF waves to fuse the sheets 3 and 4 together, forming a resin sheet covering 2. |
