PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness and make the display content easily recognizable visibly, by providing a notch capable of accommodating at least a part of parts used in small-sized electronic device on the same plane, at the terminal lead-out part of an electrochemical display device. CONSTITUTION:An example suited to an electronic wristwatch is shown. In the upper longitudinal direction of a liquid crystal display device of this plate form having two transparent substrate forming electrodes 10a of specified pattern disposed at specified interval through a spacer 10b is formed a terminal lead-out part 10c of collar shape, and in the lower longitudinal direction thereof are formed terminal lead-out parts 10c, 10e of collar shape across a recess notch part 10d in the central part. Plural connecting terminals 10f are formed in the terminal lead- out parts 10c, 10e, etc., and a terminal 10f is electrically connected to the electrode 10a through lead electrode 10g. Since the device 10 is fitted to a housing 10 made of synthetic resin, the thickness of the device is reduced. |
