[Also in Division E2] Fastener for attaching a member to an apertured support comprises a body portion 11 adapted to engage the member and a headed shank 12 for insertion into the aperture in the support, the shank being secured in the body portion by projections 18 and 19 permanently deformed downwardly from the position shown in chain-dot lines. The body portion may be made from synthetic plastics material and the projections are deformed by the application of heat and pressure thereto. The body portion may be square and provided with peripheral grooves to engage the member.</p> |
