<p>The ventilator for an intensive rearing installation for chickens, pigs etc. has a rectangular casing (4) with an inlet opening (22) one end for stale air and a heater unit (10) at the outlet opening (8) the other end. Between them is a partition (16) in which is mounted a fan (20) inside a shroud (18). The chamber (24) behind the fan at the inlet end has an opening (26) through the side, for entry of fresh air. This opening is controlled by a sliding cover (28) travelling between horizontal guides (30). The heater has horizontal pipes (14) across its interior for hot water circulation. This heater is mounted on an end plate which can swing about a vertical hinge. Another design has a hinged flap at the opening for stale air.</p> |
