PURPOSE:To improve the printability of a polypropylene film, etc. with a cellophane printing ink, by subjecting the film to corona discharge under the atmospheres of nitrogen and oxygen in specific concentraitions in order. CONSTITUTION:A molded polypropylene article, e.g. a film, 5mm or less thick, is subjected to corona discharge in the atmospheres of nitrogen in a concentration of 85-98vol%, preferably 90-98vol%, and then of oxygen in a concentration >=20vol%, preferably >=30vol%, in order. EFFECT:Improved gas permeability, heat adhesion, metal deposition, and compatibility with coating materials. |
