The movable mirror, for a motor vehicle, enables a position to be selected for the motorist who requires to move the vehicle in awkward situations, such as in and out of street garages, etc. It comprises a cylindrical housing (3) with a flat top end cover retained by a rubber washer, under which are two similar mirrors (6) arranged at 90 deg. to one another. The mirrors are each attached to a connector wire (4) which can be mobed in position by a screw passing into an oil-tight cap (9) at the end of the mirror housing. A hydraulic connection is made to a control button assembly on the dashboard, so that the driver can move the mirrors around (+-) 45 deg. from the central setting.
