B2E [Also in Division C3] Non-stick coatings may be produced on e.g. paper, cardboard, wood, cork, plastic films, cotton fabrics, metals, e.g. iron, glass and ceramics, e.g. in the form of self-adhesive tapes or labels or of boxes or drums for storing sticky foods, meats or adhesives, by applying thereto a composition comprising (1) a polydiorganosiloxane having terminal sibonded vinyl groups, (2) an organopolysiloxane having at least 3 Si-bonded H atoms, at least one on a terminal Si, and, as curing catalyst, (3) a reaction product of chloroplatinic acid with a ketone (see Division C3. In the examples the catalyst derives from H 2 PtCl 6 and a large excess of cycloheaxanone and is added to a mixture of dimethylvinylsiloxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxanes in a toluene/alkane solvent, with a copolymer of HMe 2 SiO 0-5 , Me 2 SiO and MeHSiO units; the solution is applied to glassine paper and dried and cured at 150‹C. |
