<p>The demountable and replaceable insulating bush (16) is of an open ended channel form with a uniform part circular cross section and isolates a bolted clip(6) holding down an electrified railway line (1). The ends have square external returns, and similar returns (27, 18) of the longitudinal edges are respectively square and curved enabling the bush to house the heel (12) of a clip. The clip may be of spring steel plate folded through 180 deg., with unequal legs (8, 10), and with a hollow cylindrical heel defining the fold. The clip spans between the heel and a rail flange and is fixed by a bolt (9) through holes in the two legs. The heel is located by a sleeper groove (15) and the bolt is insulated by a flanged (26) sleeve (28).</p> |
