PURPOSE:To provide an increase of adhesion between active material and mat unit, and make the promotion of improvement for capacity and life performance of the battery, by attaching the mat unit to both sides of the plate, with the active material made filling, and pressing the mat unit from both front and rear side to closely bind the mat unit. CONSTITUTION:Into a lead lattice base unit 1 is filled an active material 2, and to both sides of this plate is attached a mat unit 3 of glass cloth, resin net, etc. Subsequently, the mat unit 3 is pressed from front and rear so as to provide a shape likely with the active material 2 enclosing the lead lattice base unit 1 to the center, and the front and rear of the mat unit 3 are made closely sticking, with the closely attached portion bound by the method of high frequency heating, thermal welding, etc. |
