PURPOSE:To improve cooling efficiency by providing a flow guide plate to regualte the flow of coolant in a water jacket wherein coolant is flown around a small laser tube. CONSTITUTION:A water jacket 9 whose inner diameter is larger than the outer diameter of a small laser tube 7 is arranged on the same axis of the small laser tube 7, and both ends of the jacket are sealed. A flow guide plate 14 is provided to regulate coolant 13 in a space 12 between the small laser tube 7 and a water jacket 9. In this constitution, the coolant 13 from an inlet 10 is flown around the small laser tube in a spiral form, regulated by the flow-guide plate 14, and exhausted from an outlet 11. Since the coolant does not stagnate anywhere in the space 12, and uniformly contacts with the surface of the small laser tube 7, the cooling efficiency is greatly improved. |
