PURPOSE:To readily and accurately measure molecular weight in short time by using colored protein obvious in its molecular weight as a molecular weight marker when isolating and refining the protein in an SDS-electrophoresis, molecular sieve chromatograph, etc. CONSTITUTION:One or more parts of colored protein obvious in its molecular weight is used as a molecular weight marker for an SDS-electrophoresis, molecular sieve chromatograph, etc. The colored protein includes, for example, cytochrome C of biological origin, Myoglobin, Hemoglobin, etc. As the cytochrome C, horse myocardial cytochrome C (which has 12300 of molecular weight, and is brown in oxidized type and pink in reduced type) is stable inexpensively to be preferable. |
