<p>PURPOSE:A heat-generating composition that is composed of iron dust, graphite, activated carbon or carbon black, an alkali metal sulfate or magnesium sulfate or calcium chloride, calcined vermiculite and water, thus generating heat in the presence of oxygen or air. CONSTITUTION:Said heat-generating composition that is composed of (A) iron dust, (B) graphite and activated carbon or carbon black, (C) an alkali metal sulfate or magnesium sulfate or calcium chloride, (D) calcined vermiculite and (E) water, in which the particle size of (A) is more than 30, preferably 50-300 mesh, component B is a combination of graphite of 50-400 mesh particle size and activated carbon or carbon black and as component C, sodium chloride is preferably used and magnesium sulfate and calcium chloride also may be used. Practically, the amount of the graphite is 0.5-30wt%, activated carbon or carbon black, 0.1- 20%, on the basis of the amount of (A) and (C) is used in the form of 1% or saturated solution and the amount of water used is 5-500%.</p> |
