PURPOSE:To provide a heat-resistant composition by compounding a copolymer of ethylene, propylene and a non-conjugated diene, fine silica powder coated with a polyorganosiloxane, an antioxidant, an organic peroxide, and a polyorganosiloxane having a specific structure. CONSTITUTION:A heat-resistant composition composed of (A) parts by weight of a copolymer of ethylene, propylene, and a non-conjugated diene (e.g. dicyclopentadiene), (B) 10-200 parts of fine silica powder coated with a polyorganosiloxane, (D) 1-20 parts of an antioxidant such as phenolic compounds, imidazole compounds, zinc oxide, etc., (D) an organic peroxide such as dicumyl peroxide, and (E) 0-100 parts of a poly-diorganosiloxane having a polymerization degree of 10-1000, wherein 0-25mol% of the organic groups bonded to the Si atoms are alkenyl. The amount of the propylene unit in (A) copolymer is 15-50mol% to attain desirable processability and physical properties of the cured product. |
