PURPOSE:To even pressures at nozzle positions of a manifold by so constituting a slit-shaped passage that the flux of ink flowing into the manifold is substantially perpendicular to the nozzle row. CONSTITUTION:A multinozzle ink jet head comprises: an ink inlet port 9; a manifold 12 which has at least one row of plural nozzles 1; a slit-shpaed passage 5 which communicates the port 9 with the manifold 12; and a means 7 for injecting ink droplets from the nozzles 1 by application of mechanical vibration. The passage 5 is so shaped that it is broader in the direction of the ink flow toward the manifold 12 and that the flux of ink flowing therethrough is substantially perpendicular to the nozzle row when it enters the manifold 12. |
