PURPOSE:To make a paper holding means, such as rollers or the like, unnecessary and reduce unfilled spaces in a recording paper, wherein recording are not possible, by humidifying a rear surface of the recording paper so as to stick it to a platen. CONSTITUTION:In a ink-jet recording device wherein particles of ink are printed selectively on a recording paper 9 supported by a platen 1, a means to give moisture onto a rear surface of the recording paper and a means 12 to dry a recording surface thereof are provided to the device, when we assume that the recording surface of the recording paper 9 is a front surface. The rear surface of the recording paper 9 is humidified by contacting a roller 11, contacting with water in a water tank 10, with a roller 7, for example, one of rollers 6, 7 which are feeding the recording paper 9 to the platen 1. Or else, the recording paper 9 may also to sticked to the platen 1 by humidifying the surface of the platen 1 by the roller 11 directly. |
